Welcome to De Vrijboom
We welcome you to our boutique hotel, located in the idyllic village of Nokere at the edge of the Flemish Ardennes. The name Vrijboom refers to the Lime tree on the village square of Nokere. This used to be the meeting place for the villagers. De Vrijboom was founded in 2019. The former chicken slaughterhouse has been converted into a luxurious boutique hotel.
De Vrijboom has 4 elegantly decorated rooms each with their own story and soul and where you can enjoy a cosy quiet homely atmosphere. Rooms for hire from Monday to Friday.
The party room ‘Flieflatter’, its mezzanine lounge, the cafe ‘Weitie’ and the courtyard are the perfect location for many private or corporate events. These rooms are named after birds and butterflies in the local dialect.

ROOMS
All rooms have a flat screen TV, air conditioning, free wifi and internet, box spring beds, minibar, safe, Nespresso coffee machine, electric kettle and mineral water.
The bathrooms have beautiful white towels, bathrobes and slippers, a hairdryer and luxury care products from ‘Parco‘. The outdoor jacuzzi is free of charge for paying guests. Due to high energy prices, reservation is needed, 48h before use.

BREAKFAST
We offer you a delicious breakfast in a homely atmosphere.
If the weather is nice you can enjoy breakfast on our terrace in the courtyard of De Vrijboom.
Business breakfast: €20 pp – only on weekdays
(Coffee or tea, bread, chocolate, jam, butter and cheese)
Standaard breakfast: €30 pp
(coffee or tea, glass of freshly squeezed juice, bread rolls/baguette, mini-pastries, chocolate, jam, butter, honey, selection of local cheeses and cold meats assortment, yoghurt, homemade granola, fruit, eggs, bacon)
Champagne breakfast: €50 pp
(Surprise yourself with a brunch offering all kinds of delicious regional products and a glass of champagne)
WELLNESS
As a payin guest of De Vrijboom, you can use our outdoor Jacuzzi (Vlarem II) free of charge. This jacuzzi is ideal to relax after a busy day.
You can contact Jessica our hostess to book the jacuzzi.
Use of the infra-red sauna for 8 persons costs extra. Pleas check the availability with our hostess during your stay. Mandatory use of a bath towel.
Private rental of the wellness is possible.
A session of miniumum 2 hours includes the private use of the complete accommodation: Infrared sauna and jacuzzi. A glass of champagne and a tapas plate are included.
A bathrobe, bath towel, slippers and care products are at your disposal.

MEETINGS & EVENTS
The “Flieflatter” event room with mezzanine lounge, the bistro area, our café “Weitie” and the industrial kitchen are for rent for various events. These can range from a simple meeting, seminar, product presentation, lecture, workshop, fashion show, baby shower, service club to temporary pop-ups, old-timer event, etc…
As we are situated in the centre of a village, we wish to respect the peace and quiet of our neighbours, our rooms are not suitable for events of any kind with a sound level higher than 95 db.
Private rental of the whole venue includes use of the fully equipped industrial kitchen.
We have partnerships with several caterers and can also recommend suppliers of rental equipment and flower decorations.
In the case of private rental, all rooms are included as well. Contact us for more information.

Parking
Parking is possible on the square in front of De Vrijboom or behind the church (Hovebroekweg), a 2-minute walk away. Bicycles can always be stored safely on the domain.
